Tis the season…

Is anyone else freaked out that there are Christmas decorations out? Wasn’t it just the 4th of July a few weeks ago? (shrug).
Anyway I’ve had a lot of CUTE sessions lately and I have to share 
I don’t think you understand how much I LOVE this. LOVE IT. So much more than a ‘everyone look and smile’ portrait. Can’t you just SEE how much they adore this boy? And I didn’t even tell them to do this….
I guess I can’t blame them, he is pretty darn cute!

Ok as I post these I really just can’t help but think, WOW I have some adorable clients. This session was a little crazy- the sweet little one was tired, and not feeling 100%. When Daddy came she was SO happy to see him though…
Sometimes I book a session and have no idea what to expect. I was SOOO excited when Katie walked through my door. UM…MODEL MATERIAL??

Soul Sisters…

That is what it felt like with this little girls Momma! We spent 3 hours hanging out, chatting, and of course we took some portraits of her ADORABLE Kennedy (who, by the way, tolerated 5 outfit changes– and she is TWO! What a good girl.) It was an absolute pleasure! I can’t wait to do it again!
(Grandma and Mom were both photographed in this dress when they were little! SO neat)

Thisis why I love my job. It’s so much fun making new friends, and playing with sweet little bubbas who are so untainted by the world. Their eyes are just so innocent and pure. Seriously, there is nothing better.

Awe Jen…Thanks for the super sweet complimentary comments. They brought a tear to my eye! Dido on my feelings!! Thanks for a great “first” experience today. Thanks for being so incredibly patient, just working with my daughter at her mood and pace, and for not making me feel any pressure at all for a time constraint or for her to perform! I can HARDLY wait to see them ALL!! My BF in Dallas found them before me tonight and told me they were up! Too funny, huh?! We will be back!!! I had a great time and so did Kennedy! Thanks Jen!!!
Just a little Public Service Announcement…

(cause I don’t know where else to put this)
PLEASE don’t scan or reproduce my artwork in any way shape or form (this includes making announcements or cards, collages, etc)! If you bought prints from me and would like them on your website or blog- just ask! I’ll send you an image with my logo on it! All I ask is that you keep the logo so people know where it came from ;-) Obviously it wouldn’t be very nice to use that, or to buy a 5×7 and then make copies for all the grandma’s, aunt’s, etc. Not only is it not nice, it’s illegal!
One more thing-please, don’t come to me to do a session, and then have your friend with a ‘real nice camera’ try to recreate my work! It’s just not ethical- PLUS- People may think I was the one who took those images and it really would reflect poorly on my business. This is the only profession that I can think of- off hand- where you would be hired by someone to do a job- and then just HOPE you’ll get paid for it.
It’s unfortunate. It was so much more fun to just ‘take pictures’. This whole business thing is another story. (sigh)
Thank you SO much for understanding. And remember- you are not just stealing from ME- you are also stealing from them!!

Meet little Nolan. He is absolutely perfect in every way.
